Eldest son of the old king Henry VII. First husband of Katherine of Aragon.
Died in 1502, possibly of the sweating sickness, at Ludlow Castle in the Welsh Marches.

Week 1: Across the Narrow Sea / Paternity
A papal dispensation was required and obtained in order that Henry could marry his dead brother’s widow. Katherine always maintained that she never consummated the marriage with Arthur and that she was a virgin when she married Henry VIII.
