A quick one from me today. Next week, this Friday Fireside newsletter will become Endnotes, an occasional newsletter that goes out to all subscribers. This is just a small change that allows me to devote my energies to the book group posts starting on 1 January.

There are two read-alongs starting in 2024: Tolstoy’s War and Peace and Mantel’s Cromwell trilogy. To make sure you get all the updates for your book group, turn on notifications using this link:

From 1 January, Footnotes and Tangents emails will look like this:

• Mondays: Cromwell Trilogy weekly update to all subscribers.
  A bonus post The Haunting of Wolf Hall for paid subscribers.

• Wednesdays: War and Peace weekly update to all subscribers.
  A bonus post All Tolstoy’s Parties for paid subscribers.

• Occasional Endnotes newsletters to all subscribers.
