Week 2: At Austin Friars / Visitation
Cromwell was employed by Wykys when he returned from abroad. They travelled to the Low Countries to visit Cromwell’s friends in the cloth trade. He used his superior knowledge of the wool market to turn the old man’s business around. In gratitude, Henry gave him his daughter, Liz, to marry.
