Count Nikolay Nikolayevich Novosiltsev (1761–1838), a close aide to Tsar Alexander I.

In 1805, he was engaged in peace negotiations with France when he heard that Napoleon had taken Genoa and Lucca in Italy. He notified Alexander, bringing all hopes of peace to an end.
