Joining this slow read has been one of the highlights of my year. Not only am I within reach of achieving a lifelong goal to read this great work of literature, but I have thoroughly enjoyed myself along the way. Thank you so much, Simon! ❤️
I enjoy my Sunday mornings, when not only do I read and listen to your weekly insights, but I take the time to read the additional resources you provide. All of that combined makes my experience of reading War and Peace so much richer than had I attempted to read it on my own. Thank you @SimonHaisell!
Thank you. You've helped a great deal with my reading. Contextualizing and giving insight, opened up this story and helped make the experience a happier one.
Thank you for the Hokusai print. We so often see just a fragment of it, so it’s nice to be reminded that Mount Fuji is there in the center of this beautiful work.
A mention of Harry Potter and a Pooh quote, as always another well put together weekly post. I still feel sorry for Soyna and can't fully get behind Marya and Nikolai's but I am hopeful these two find happiness as Mayra especially, deserves it.
I’m delighted that these couples ended up together. I want more insights into their life together. I’m not sure about strengths and weaknesses but I feel hopeful that these will be happy and loving homes.

Congratulations, Phoebe! So damn proud of you and of everyone!

So lovely, thank you Catherine. I always feel like I don't do enough – so it is great to hear this!

I had this thought too and I don't think I realised the monks were in it. Thank you Simon.
Oh yes! You’re right!

It's a Jungle Book quote actually, haha my son's favourite film at the moment!
🤣🤣It was Baloo wasn't it. I remember now 😆
