Robert Lindet, a lawyer and deputy from Normandy, worked to hasten Louis XVI’s execution and was instrumental, too, in the fall of the Girondists. Lindet is a member of the Committee of Public Safety, and as head of the National Food Commission oversees production and distribution of goods. He is a friend of Georges-Jacques Danton and Camille Desmoulins.
