This is already a stunning piece of work, Simon. Helps navigation, mapping relationships, and tracking who said what, when, and to whom. Please keep it going.
This is becoming an increasingly essential resource for me 😄 I can usually hold a good cast list together in my head but W&P is catching me out! I’m sure it’ll settle once they all garner more depth and stop being idle chatty socialites 😅🤞🏻🤞🏻
I love the way Russian names have diminutives.. I absolutely love the Bronze Horseman books also set in St Petersburg and there’s a lot of figuring out that Tatiana/tanya Daria/Dasha Pavel/Pasha are all the same person.

Is there any mention in the book about Countess Rostova’s other eight children?
No, we only ever hear about the four living children, although there may be younger children in the nursery who are not mentioned.
Simon, can you say who Madam Scherer is that Andrei refers to when addressing Pierre in the couch? Is it Anna Pavlovna?
That's right. 👍
