A paraplegic, a friend of Robespierre

Georges Couthon is a paraplegic lawyer and Jacobin deputy who is an elected member of the Committee of Public Safety, which wielded power during the Reign of Terror. Couthon is a friend of Maximilien Robespierre and Antoine Saint-Just, the three of whom form an unofficial triumvirate.
