Maurice Duplay
A master carpenter. Host to Maximilien Robespierre.
Maurice Duplay is a master carpenter and a committed Jacobin. He and his wife Françoise Duplay have three daughters, Eléonore, Victoire and Elisabeth, and a son, also called Maurice (as well as another daughter, omitted by Mantel). Maximilien Robespierre lodges with the Duplays, who ardently admire him, after Maurice Duplay shelters him in the aftermath of the Champs de Mars massacre.
